Courtney is from Johannesburg, South Africa. She completed her schooling at St Mary’s School for Girls. She then attended and graduated, from the University of South Africa, with a Bachelor of Education. Courtney took on a particular interest in second language learners to achieve her Level Five TEFL certification.
Courtney started her teaching career at Pridwin Preparatory School, where she participated in the intern teaching programme. Courtney, eager to learn more about immersion, proceeded to move to South Korea to teach English to Lower and upper primary students. During her time in Korea, Courtney spearheaded the school’s reading programme. Courtney was excited to join the Hiba Academy Hangzhou family in the 2022-2023 school year.
