Emma graduated from the University of Sydney in Australia with a master’s degree in Education. She obtained a Domestic Teaching Certificate of Chinese. Further to this, she holds IPA international registered Chinese teacher qualification certificate (advanced). During her study, she served as a volunteer of tutoring Chinese learning for international students from the college of international exchange, Hainan Normal University. After working as a core member of the school curriculum development team for a whole year, she started to be a Chinese teacher and homeroom teacher for IB programme at one bilingual school in Shanghai. Meanwhile, she was one of the trainees of "famous teachers workshop" in Nanhui District, Pudong, Shanghai.
Since 2019, Emma has been teaching in grades 1-2 of Hiba Academy Hangzhou as a class teacher. During her teaching period, she also maintained active and effective communication with the parents. In 2022, she was recognised with an award by Xiaoshan Development District for local teachers as a Good Quality of Teaching and Learning teacher.
She is a cheerful and positive person, who is good at communication. She has loved education deeply since she was a young child with the dream of being a teacher. She once participated in supporting education for rural schools at a small village in Hainan. Besides, Emma is interested in music, reading, dancing and travelling, from which she believes she could learn more about the world and experience different cultures. She also won the first prize in chorus of the Fifth College Students' art performance in Hainan Province.
