Helen Mumford graduated from UCLAN University, UK with a bachelor’s degree in Fine Art and completed her PGCE with the University of Birmingham, UK. She has been teaching the British Curriculum for over 25 years, working in a range of schools as an Art and Design teacher, Head of Visual Arts, Head of House and Achievement Leader. She gained her NPQSL in 2017 and for 14 years has held Assistant Headteacher positions in three diverse Secondary Schools. She completed her NPQH with UCL in April 2024. Helen recently held the position of founding Deputy Head of Secondary at a large all through International school in the UAE, where she led on areas such as curriculum, gifted and talented provision, and established a values based behaviour and rewards system. She worked in close partnership with other members of the executive leadership team to support areas on the school development plan and served as the whole school deputy safe guarding lead. Helen represented the school and provided CPD for the Sharjah Private Education Authority, as part of a beacon schools project offering training for other British curriculum schools in the Emirate and supporting them ready for inspection. Using her extensive experience of leading and supporting both middle and senior leaders, she is committed to developing both pupils and staff. Helen is passionate about working with all stakeholders in sharing her ideas, inspiring pupils and instilling a love of learning.
