Hywell Davies

Born in Wales but raised in England, Greece and Kuwait, Hywell considers himself a world citizen. He has worked in various roles in Education in Scotland, Hong Kong, China and the Philippines.

A passionate believer in the potential of all learners to grow and improve, Hywell always aims to start with the end in mind: asking the students to consider the purpose of what they are learning and why it is important. He believes that interested and self-motivated learners are naturally more successful in any given subject and that learning how to learn is the most important lesson a child can receive.

Hywell qualified as a teacher in Hong Kong, an IELTS Examiner and Invigilator in Shanghai and received an MBA in Educational Leadership from the University of Cumbria.

Outside the classroom, Hywell strongly believes in social progress and supports charities aiding health and education for disadvantaged students. He enjoys travelling, reading and spending time with his family in his spare time.
