Caron Hou holds a master's degree in sports education. Ms Hou was the former chief coach of Singapore National Synchronised Swimming Team. She has achieved the qualification of coach and referee for artistic swimming issued by Fédération Internationale de Natation (FINA). She won the title of best honourable coach, awarded by Singapore Sports Council. She is currently a national referee in China.
Caron learnt the dance major in her childhood and was selected to join in the professional group by the coach of the synchronised swimming team. Later, she retired due to physical injuries and engaged in teaching. She has more than 30 years of professional experience and has won international competitions many times while leading the Singapore national team.
At present, she is responsible for the daily teaching and competition organisation of swimming and synchronised swimming in our school. Meanwhile, she also contributes to planning and implementing the popularisation of synchronised swimming in Zhejiang Province. She hopes that more and more children will have the opportunity to participate in synchronised swimming in the future, to experience the unique charm of the sport, to gain the perseverance of the sportsmanship and to be the excellent reserve talents for our country!
