Ms Taotao Lu is a well-trained Mental Health Counselor and Play Therapist with international background. She gained her Bachelor's degree in Child and Family Studies from Syracuse University and Master's degree in Guidance and Counselling from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
Taotao specialises in working with pre-school and school-aged children, adolescents, and children with special education needs. Her expertise lies in using Play Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Narrative Practice to support children’s development. In the past years, she has provided individual counselling services and mental health workshops/seminars for international schools in Shanghai and Hangzhou, college counseling centers, educational institutions, and international non-profit organisations. Prior to becoming a counselor, she was also an outstanding early-childhood educator. Her extensive experience in working with children and their families has equipped her a diverse set of counseling skills that can help them cope with a wide range of challenges, including socio-emotional issues, academic pressure, and behavioral problems. Taotao is passionate about empowering children and youths to help them overcome psychological and social challenges through story-telling and expressive play.
