Jacqueline Ferguson holds a Bachelor degree from University of Ulster and is a fully qualified Teacher of Art and Design with 15 years of teaching experience of IGCSE and A Level Art & Design as well as IB Visual Arts at Diploma level. Before coming to Hangzhou, she served as Head of the Art at several well-known international schools.
As an educator who sees every pupil as an individual with their own specific needs and goals as learners, pupils develop as critical thinkers who know how to improve. Exploring professional development with Lexis education on teaching ESL pupils enables her to develop a wealth of resources in supporting ESL learners to fully engage with the art curriculum.
She supports each pupil to clearly communicate their artistic ideas to use visual expression to make a positive impact on the future. By guiding pupils to make connections between both local and global cultural contexts, she enables pupils to explore their unique outcomes while exploring the wider world through art.
In her spare time, Jacqueline enjoys baking and spending time walking with her dog Trulio. She also loves kayaking having represented Ireland at previous European and World Championships events.
