The school offers a continuous, world-class bilingual education for pupils aged 2 to 18, spanning from primary through to secondary education.

In the Primary and Senior Schools, we follow the national curriculum standards and Zhejiang provincial requirements, while in the Sixth Form, pupils pursue internationally recognised IGCSE and A Level programmes. In the 2025 Forbes China International School Rankings, Hiba Academy Hangzhou was ranked first among primary and senior schools in Hangzhou, highlighting its leading position and comprehensive strength in bilingual education. The Class of 2025 once again demonstrated the depth and quality of a Hiba education, with 77% of pupils being admitted to universities ranked within the top 20 of the QS World University Rankings and 85% to institutions in the global top 50. A total of RMB 3 million in scholarships was awarded. Prestigious institutions such as University College London, the University of California, Los Angeles, the University of Hong Kong, the University of Sydney, and King's College London extended offers to our pupils.

In the 2025 IGCSE examinations, Hiba pupils achieved remarkable results, with 35.4% of grades at A* and 61.2% at A*/A—well above the average for pupils in the UK. 

Our pupils have also received international accolades, including the 'Top in the World' and 'Top in China' awards across multiple subjects, further enhancing the school's academic distinction.

As a key member of Wellington College Education (China) - Hangzhou, Hiba Academy Hangzhou boasts an experienced and internationally-minded team of teachers. With an average teaching experience of over ten years, our educators combine deep professional expertise with a genuine passion for teaching in every lesson.

Over 63% of Chinese teachers hold postgraduate degrees, more than half have overseas study experience, and over 70% of foreign teachers come from the UK, bringing an authentic British educational environment. Hiba's boarding Houses are managed by experienced domestic and international Housemasters and Housemistresses, providing pupils in Year 3 and above with a supportive environment that balances study, self-discipline and daily living. After-school activities and guidance from mentors help boarders make steady progress academically, socially, and personally, fostering independence and maturity.

Life at Hiba is rich in variety, with activities that span sports, arts, academics and culture.
