As young cultural explorers, the children chose a province of interest and engaged in collaborative inquiry to learn about its geographical location, historical stories, ethnic customs, cuisine, and local specialties. Through active discovery, they deepened their cultural awareness. As part of their inquiry-based learning, the children also prepared performances related to their chosen province. Local folk songs, ethnic dances, drama performances, crosstalk, and storytelling… these diverse artistic forms vividly expressed their understanding of culture while building their confidence and expressive abilities along the way.

This Chinese New Year celebration seamlessly blended festive joy with cultural immersion, allowing children to strengthen their connection with China's diverse heritage through inquiry, performance, and hands-on experience.

Parents and children "travelled across China" hand in hand, enjoying regional snacks and experiencing traditional handcrafts and ethnic costumes in an immersive way — from the mellow meat sandwiches in northwest China to the exquisite pastries in the Jiangnan region; from the colorful ethnic costumes to the childlike handcraft experiences… In the warm parent-child interaction, we all feel the diversity and charm of Chinese regional culture together.
